Freeworld is a 16 Track digital recording studio utilizing the Pro-Tools hard disk recording system synched with an Alesis ADAT-XT.

History of Freeworld

Freeworld Digital was founded in 1991 by Robert Hamlin. Robert was taking Audio Engineering classes at Collin County Community College at the time, doing live remote recordings & digital editing on Sound Designer II. During his time at CCCC, Robert worked with bands such as Quickserv Johnny & Grand Street Cryers (Formerly Dead City Radio). Robert worked on the "Eat Your Vegetables" Compilation album in the Business of Music classes at CCCC on which Dead City Radio was introduced to the Metroplex. After CCCC Robert worked at Universal Distribution in Dallas to get some experience in the "Business" side of the music industry.
